QC

Accurate Data Quality Control (QC)

Gravity Data QC of several/different datasets

When we should deal with different gravity datasets coming from different origins, or aquired in different periods, the challenge arise in merging these datasets. We should be able to detect and remove bad points/measures

In this example, 32 bad measures/points are identified (red x)
Location of bad points/measures

We check the location of these suspected bad points according to the topography variations

These points/measures are located in areas of strong topographic gradient
In the Bouguer anomaly

What is the consequence on the Bouguer anomaly ?

The 32 suspected (which should be rejected) show a very short wavelength anomaly arise from the bad topography data correction. These points should be removed
